BASKO Masking Shellac No. 740
Range of application
For masking interior surfaces treated with chemicals such as PCB, PCP, lindane or DDT. For odorless treatment of cabinet interiors. For treated wood, wooden composites, cement. NOT suitable for: absorbent plasters (e.g. clay, lime), stairs, floors, exterior surfaces or moist areas.
Technical qualities
Clear coat. Proven masking effect (PCB, PCP, lindane and DDT). Free from organic-chemical compounds according to DIN EN 71, part 9. Purely physical and rapid drying. Glossy surface after 3 coats. Ethanol is denatured only with shellac. Limited in its resistance against chemicals, water, abrasion and scratches.
Application method
Thin and quick application by brushing, rolling (with Moltopren foam roller) or spraying (max. 10% dilution with BASKO Thinner No. 715, note explosion protection!).
Coverage
Determine the exact amount needed by doing a test application. 1 l undiluted (1.06 quart.) is sufficient for 10 to 14 m² (108 to 151 ft²) per coat, i.e. 83 ml/m². Consumption could be considerably less, depending on the condition and absorbency of the surface.
