Technical qualities
After 3 coats glossy, water-resistant surface. Free of organic-chemical compounds according to DIN EN 71, part 9.
Application method
Remove possible skin formed on the surface and stir thoroughly! Test application. Depending on the requirements, absorbency and type of wood: 3 applications with a brush (at > 16 °C [60.8 °F]) until layer formation.. Apply the 1st coat generously and wipe off after approx. 5 - 10 minutes with a lint-free cotton cloth. Distribute the 2nd and 3rd coat LINN N° 1703 drop-wise (one tea spoon per m² ) and polish in immediately with a cotton cloth. Intermediate sanding with 320 grain after the 1st and 2nd application. On surfaces treated with KUNOS No. 244 or KUNOS No. 243 apply a single coat after slightly sanding with 180 grain. During the first 4 weeks after the last application, the coating hardens internally. During this time, standing water, coverage of large areas and mechanical loads should be avoided. The surface can otherwise be used normally. Excessively thick coats can lead to drying problems and impair resistance to water.
Coverage
Determine the exact amount needed by doing a test application.
First coat: 56 ml/m², i.e. 1 l is sufficient for approximately 18 m² (194 ft²).
Second coat: 16 ml/m², i.e. 1 is sufficient for approximately 63 m² (678 ft²).
Third coat: 11 ml/m², i.e. 1 l is sufficient for approximately 90 m² (968 ft²).
Consumption could be considerably less, depending on the condition and absorbency of the surface.
