Application range
For exterior use (exception: ALIS colorless), as a treatment for terraces, facades, doors, play equipment, garden furniture and windows made of untreated solid wood. Suitable for beehives (outer part).
Technical qualities
Impregnated, water repellent and UV resistant surface. Complies with the German Industrial Norm DIN 53 160, fast to perspiration and saliva. Free of organic-chemical compounds according to DIN EN 71, part 9. Free of preservatives and biocides.
Please note: The color 002 clear does not provide any UV protection and is therefore not suitable for the outside area.
Application method
2-3 applications with a brush, roller or spray gun (10% diluted).
Coverage
Determine the exact amount needed by doing a test application.
For profiled (fluted) wood: First coat: 1 liter (1.06 quart) is sufficient for approx. 7 m² (75 ft²), i.e.,140 ml/m². Second coat: 1 liter (1.06 quart) is sufficient for approx.35 m² (377 ft²), i.e.,30ml/m².
For planed wood: First coat: 1 liter (1.06 quart) is sufficient for approx. 20-25 m² (215-269 ft²), i.e., 40-50 ml/m². Second coat: 1 liter (1.06 quart) is sufficient for approx. 40-50 m² (430-538 ft²), i.e., 20-25 ml/m².
For sanded wood (120-150 grain): First coat: 1 liter (1.06 quart) is sufficient for approx. 35-50 m² (377-538 ft²), i.e., 20-30ml/m². Second coat: 1 liter (1.06 quart) is sufficient for approx. 55-70 m² (529-753 ft²), i.e.,14-18 ml/m².
Consumption could be considerably less, depending on the condition and absorbency of the surface.
