Application range
Exterior: larch and Douglas fir, rough-sawn or planed – façades, cladding and fences.
Not suitable for: horizontal and dimensionally stable components such as decking and
windows – use ALIS Decking Oil No. 579 instead.
Technical qualities
For wood that may turn grey: the oil saturates the fibres and makes the surface water-repellent. The wood absorbs less water – this helps it to swell and crack less and to turn grey more slowly. The zinc oxide it contains also keeps out part of the UV light. It is no substitute for a pigmented coating. Renovation without sanding – dust off, brush, recoat. Fully declared – including the substances that need not be named.
Application method
By painting, spraying undiluted, or dipping at temperatures above 12°C (53.6°F).
Coverage
Remove any skin that may have formed, stir well, apply a test area.Three sparing coats undiluted by brushing, spraying or dipping.Apply above 12 °C and in dry weather.
