Renewable raw materials

Since the very start of the business, LIVOS has been following the idea of using plants and natural materials for its products and is therefore the first industrial producer of natural colours worldwide. Decades of research have opened up new fields of application as for example in the case of soap nuts; long before those were known in Germany as a detergent and cleaning agent, they had already been used for LIVOS cleaners.

Pure and odourless raw materials

The experience of the last decades has shown that there is big differences in the quality of raw materials, e.g. in the case of linseed oil. Since 1990, LIVOS owns its own linseed oil press in which the linseed oil is cold pressed and then processed. No extraction chemicals are used, which reduces the outcome, but maintains the pure quality.

Every raw material is subjected to a quality control with the focus on the greatest possible purity, neutral odour and health impact relevant tests. Thus, LIVOS is able to guarantee the consistent, high quality. The LIVOS neutral - product series is especially designed for the needs of sensitive customers - with an even stricter attention to possible allergens and odours.

Natural colours

LIVOS only uses plant, earth and mineral pigments. They give depth and charisma to the products and create harmonious colour combinations. With avoidance of pollutants and heavy metals of course.

Renewable Energy / Energy Saving

90% of the heating of the company building is done by pellet heating. A new insulation and radiant heat ensure energy saving and create a comfortable indoor climate for the employees.
