Application range
Suitable for all interior wooden surfaces that are not subject to mechanical stress, such as paneling, ceilings, veneers, multiplex boards and cabinet interiors. Also suitable for garden furniture.
Technical qualities
Thin layer wood stain. Water-repellent, open to diffusion (permeable to water vapour), fast to saliva and perspiration according to DIN 53 160. Suitable for toys according to DIN EN 71, part 3. Free of organic chemical compounds (DIN EN 71, part 9), without plasticizers, nanoparticles and biocides.
KALDET Transparent Wood Stain No. 270 was rated as very good in the ecological magazine "Öko-Test: Ratgeber Bauen, Wohnen, Renovieren " edition 5 / 2003.
Application method
By painting (undiluted), spraying (5 to 10% dilution) or dipping (up to 20% dilution) at temperatures above 12°C (54°F) and in dry weather conditions. At higher temperatures, please consider shorter drying times and re-brush sooner.
Coverage
Determine the exact amount needed by doing a test application. 1 undiluted liter (1.06 quart) is sufficient for approximately 15 to 30 m² (161 to 323 ft²), i.e. 44 ml/m². Consumption could be considerably less, depending on the surface condition and the absorbency of the wood.
